We have many restaurants offering us delicious entrees to sample, but right now I will discuss the italian food. Pasta Pasta, Ruvo’s, Uncle Giuseppe’s and Vincenzo’s Pizza are the italian restaurants that will be at the Long Island food and drink tasting event in Port Jefferson.
Pasta Pasta is practically a landmark in Port Jefferson, located on East Main Street. Chef owner Steve Sands and partner Jules Buitron have assembled a wonderful atmosphere that is intimate yet not intimidating. Treating yourself to an evening at Pasta Pasta, one might enjoy a romantic dinner accompanied by a fine wine list, or one might take the family out for some excellent italian cuisine for a special occasion. Either way, Pasta Pasta has become a staple of Port Jefferson because of their reputation for good food and fine dining.
Vincenzo’s Pizza located on main street in the Village of Port Jefferson offers all the freshest ingredients for all their pizzas! They have a variety of gourmet pizzas, calzones and stromboli’s, hero’s and more! Come down for just a slice of pizza, or take out a gourmet pie or specialty pasta dinner. And, Yes, they have fried chicken! Enjoy it oven-roasted, fried or BBQ.
Ruvo’s is nestled in the heart of Port Jefferson and is that place where everyone knows your name. A comfortable, enjoyable setting for this flavorful country italian cuisine, they have focused on assembling the freshest ingredients for their dishes and then adding their own flair. Enjoy a drink with appetizers at a bar with friends or an intimate dinner with your significant other or close friends and families. They have live music on Thursday & Friday evenings, happy hour, sunday brunches and more!!
Uncle Giuseppe’s in Port Jefferson Station, opened on June 30th… “Welcome to our neighborhood!” As we all know, or will know, Uncle Giuseppe’s is an italian specialty marketplace. Currently, they have 3 other locations and I’m sure you’ll soon be seeing more of them on Long Island. It is an overwhelming store that offers so much. You can get a taste of some of their foods while you shop! Or, eat in before or after you shop. Try their pizza’s, I heard they are tasty, or buy a deli sandwich, a hero, some sushi, or go to their buffet style take-out, their bakery (they even make their own doughnuts!). Not only do they sell specialty foods, but the experience in the marketplace is wonderful! It’s clean, organized, has a well-knowledged staff, and oh, did I tell you that they make their own mozzarella? Yes, they do…fresh, silky, homemade mozzarella. Do I need to say more?
Well, there are more restaurants, bakeries, wines and the Port Jeff brewing co. to discuss so check back soon to find out what else is brewing!
